This is a unique Sparks Golf day held in memory of the late Anders Nielsen, former Olympian and National Badminton Champion.

The Event

The Anders Nielsen Golf Day is held to support the Anders Nielsen Foundation and Sparks charity. Former English National Badminton Champion, Olympian and brother of Gorm Nielsen, Anders passed away in August 2010 after a long battle with cancer.

On the Day

  • 07.00am onwards – Registration with coffee & bacon rolls on arrival
  • 08.30am - Shotgun start 18 holes of golf
  • 2.00pm - sit down dinner followed by prize giving, auction and celebrity entertainment
  • *4.00pm – Proceedings end (*Timings are an approximation)
  • Dress code is customary golf club wear on the course and collared shirt and trousers for dinner

The Course

Held at the exclusive members-only Royal Automobile Club. Sweeping down towards Epsom racecourse, the tree-lined grounds make for a dramatic backdrop to a round of golf at any time of year. It offers the perfect setting for this wonderful golf day. The Royal Automobile Club is located at Woodcote Park, Wilmerhatch Lane, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 7EW

The Tournament

Team Competition: Fourball Betterball Stableford (best two of four scores to count)
Handicap allowance: Men 24, Ladies 36

The Cost

£650 per team. A team consists of either 3 amateurs and a celebrity captain (provided by Sparks) or 4 amateurs (no celebrity).
