Pat Jennings is widely regarded as one of the worlds’ greatest goalkeepers and currently holds the record number appearances for Northern Ireland with 119 caps. He made his debut in the same match as George Best did and went on to perform with distinction in the World Cup Finals of 1982 and 1986. 

At club level, after one season at Watford he moved to Spurs winning the 1967 FA Cup, 1971 and ’73 League Cups, plus the UEFA Cup in 1972.  He famously scored a goal from his own penalty box in the 3-3 draw against Manchester United in the 1967 FA Charity Shield.

After playing some 600 games in 13 years, he moved to rivals Arsenal for another 8 years and 327 matches. While there he won another FA Cup Final in 1979, and was voted 1973′s Footballer of the Year, PFA Players’ Player of the Year in ’76, and has been the goalkeeping coach at Spurs since 1993; he was inducted into England’s Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

On the Day

• 9.00am onwards – Registration with coffee & bacon rolls on arrival
• 11.00am – Shotgun start 18 holes of golf
• 5.00pm – Rolling Buffet followed by prize giving, auction and celebrity entertainment
• *7.00pm – Proceedings end (*Timings are an approximation)
• Dress code is customary golf club wear 

The Course

Bentley Golf Club is one of the premier clubs in Essex. The course is laid out over an undulating terrain and has a wealth of mature trees and water features. Team Competition: Fourball Betterball Stableford (best two of four scores to count)
Handicap allowance: Men 24, Ladies 36

The Cost

£595 per team. A team consists of either 3 amateurs and a celebrity captain (provided by Sparks) or 4 amateurs (no celebrity). Please note that online bookings will include a £6.50 booking fee.
