A huge thank you to every single person who has supported the charity over the past 25 years; whether you attended a fundraising event, donate regularly, taken on a challenge, volunteered for Sparks or supported in a different way. The timeline of our history shows just a snippet of what we’ve done and there is plenty we can be very proud of: To celebrate our 25th anniversary we’ve got an action packed year ahead. As well as our usual amazing events and campaigns, we have some special activities planned in 2016: In April, 50 years after scoring a hattrick in the World Cup Final, Sir Geoff Hurst MBE is hosting a very special football dinner in aid of Sparks Also in April, our largest ever marathon team will take to the streets of London to run 26.2 miles and raises thousands of pounds for our research In September, a group of trekkers will head off to Sierra Nevada to climb the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula In November, our intrepid golfers will jet off to Las Vegas for some golf and plenty more besides! The next phase of our Not Yet Available campaign in partnership with ad agency BBH will launch later in the year All of the events, campaigns and fundraising is to help the children who need our support most. Thanks to Sparks and our passionate researchers we have many research achievements to be proud of. However, there are still so many medical questions that need answers. With your support, we look forward to hopefully achieving even more over the next 25 years.
