From baking to biking and goals to galas, every Sparks fundraiser finds their own special way to get involved. As a Charity, we have a proud sporting heritage. Each year, hundreds of golf clubs across the UK host Sparks events and competitions to raise money. Our more adventurous champions commit to marathons, long distance cycles and grueling obstacle courses to fund our projects. Working together with companies like House of Fraser, we help to provide team building opportunities that make a difference to children across the UK. We are thrilled that for 2016, Una and Ben Foden have agreed to be our Presidents. Una is one fifth of the girl band The Saturdays and Ben is famed for playing Rugby Union for England and Northampton. They will be fantastic in this role and already have lots of exciting things planned! Our lifetime Presidents include, founder the late Jimmy Hill, OBE, along with Sir Geoff Hurst MBE and Sir Trevor Brooking – all tireless fundraisers for Sparks. We rely on every kind of donation from our regular subscribers to transformational gifts from major donors. Whether organizing community events like our Bake for Bumps campaign, or attending our star-studded specials events, all our supporters have one thing in common: funding vital medical research.
