South Coast Challenge

Join Team Sparks and take on this award-winning endurance event along the iconic South Downs Way to fund life-saving child health research across the UK.

Take on some of England's finest scenery as a Walk, Jog, or a Run! It’s an Eastbourne start, heading up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the famous South Downs Way National Trail with stunning views over the sea to a Brighton mid-point. ​Then it’s on to Devil's Dyke and welcome rest stops, with a few ups and downs ahead before historic Arundel comes into view after a 100km amazing journey.

You will get full support and hospitality from our team - and with half and quarter distance options available, there's a challenge for everyone!

Thames Path Challenge

Walk, Jog or Run along England's greatest river and be one of hundreds of people taking on this epic challenge for Sparks.

Take on the Thames Path Challenge following England's greatest river. Most will walk, many will jog, some will run, and all have special reasons to push themselves.

The full Thames Path Challenge 100km route heads from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful historic scenery all the way to Henley. With half & quarter distance options - there's a challenge for everyone.

Your challenge will be a test of spirit and determination. You'll be supported all the way by our team and rewarded with an amazing sense of achievement.

Jurassic Coast Challenge

Postponed until 19/20 September 2020

Walk, Jog or Run the spectacular Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Site. A Poole Harbour start - it's on to Corfe Castle, across to Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups and downs all the way to the Weymouth halfway point. For 100km challengers - it's past Portland Bill, nature reserves, along the western end of Chesil Beach to West Bay's famous cliffs (of TV's Broadchurch fame) - before a finish line celebration in vibrant Bridport.

With Half & Quarter distance options also, with full support and great hospitality all the way - there's a challenge here for everyone!

Thames Bridges Trek

12 September 2020

Venture across the Capital taking in unrivalled views of the skyline from its best vantage points.
Setting out from Putney Bridge - it's East towards the City, zig-zagging over the array of historic bridges - each with its own fascinating story - and a mid point stop at Kennington Oval for some snacks & drinks. 25km later, it's a finish line celebration in Southwark past the majestic Tower Bridge.

Chiltern 50

26 September 2020

This fantastic 50km circular route will showcase the best of the Chilterns and is an end of season celebration for 2020. You'll walk, jog, or run along 3 iconic trails - starting and finishing in Henley-on-Thames Base Camp with a 27km half way at Lewknor. You'll venture through nature reserves, forests, along ancient footpaths and up some of the Chiltern's famed hills - it is a route with real variety - and all very accessible from London.

Peak District Challenge

Join us for the second annual Peak District Challenge set to welcome 3,000 adventurers into the Peak District National Park.

The 100km challenge takes a tough figure 8 route through Derbyshire's finest scenery. With a Base Camp in idyllic Bakewell, which hosts camping facilities and extensive hospitality services, this gem in the Heart of England is an Ultra Challenge not to be missed...

Race To The King

Race to the King 2020 has been postponed due to COVID-19 until 2021.

Are you ready to conquer the King?

This award-winning historical trail is back in 2021 and ready to challenge runners, joggers and walkers alike.
From picturesque Arundel, the route winds along the spectacular South Downs Way, ending on the steps of Winchester Cathedral, one of the most historically significant buildings in Britain and claimed burial ground of twelve English kings, making it England’s first ever Royal Mausoleum.

Need more convincing? We will also be there to support you, each and every step of the way. Our vastly experienced medical team are positioned along the course to deal with all your aches and pains, while our famous pitstops will keep you fuelled and hydrated so you can focus on the monumental task in hand.
All you need to decide is whether to take it on in one go or split it into two and enjoy a relaxing night in our Basecamp.

Race To The Stones

Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones 2020 has been postponed due to COVID-19 until 2021.

Virtual Race to the Stones

Alternatively, you can raise money for Sparks by getting involved in the Virtual Race to the Stones taking place between Monday 6 July to Sunday 12 July 2020.

You can choose from three distances - half marathon, marathon or 100km - to complete in your local area over the week. It is completely free to enter and you'll be entered into the daily prize draw.

Take part in one of the UK’s biggest long-distance treks or runs, on the Ridgeway – Britain’s oldest path.

Enjoy the stunning British countryside from the Chilterns to the North Wessex Downs, passing Bronze Age hill forts and Roman river crossings, before finishing at the historic Avebury Stone Circle.
This is a challenge for all ages, experience and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, patient plodder or weekend walker – choose to camp over the weekend or take on 100km in one go.
