Each year, Sparks Golf organises several celebrity and corporate golf events, taking in many of the UK’s most prestigious venues including The Berkshire, Bearwood Lakes, the London Club and The Grove.
A typical golf day
The emphasis is always on fun, light-hearted entertainment with an edge of healthy competition. A typical day usually begins with a light breakfast, followed by 18 holes of golf in the company of a Sparks celebrity completing your 4-ball. After the final putt is holed, teams and celebrities retire to the 19th hole for a well-earned drink, before sitting down for a sumptuous lunch or dinner. Celebrity entertainment, a live auction and the much-anticipated prize giving ceremony rounds off the day leaving guests looking forward to the next Sparks celebrity classic.
Tiff Needell, racing driver and television presenter:
At Sparks Golf Days you get to play golf at amazing courses that you might not have access to otherwise. Sparks opens those doors. I’m very fortunate that I have three very healthy young sons. It’s an amazing feeling and anything we can do to help other parents share that feeling is amazing. It’s a great cause.
Kevin Whately, actor:
It’s just a great way to raise money for charity. Everybody has a good time. You turn up, you have a nice bacon sandwich. Then you play 18 holes on a fantastic course.
