Without Sparks, Oscar would have been the 1 child in 30 born with a condition affecting him for life. Oxygen-deprived at birth, Oscar was at risk of severe brain damage. Thanks to our pioneering research, he’s now a healthy little boy – Sparks saved him from being that statistic. We fund ground-breaking research by scientists with the skills, ideas and passion to improve children’s lives forever.
