For employees
As an employee there are lots of great ways that you can support Sparks and encourage your company to get involved, from volunteering with us to fundraising in the workplace.
Fundraising at work
There are lots of easy and fun ways to raise money and give your colleagues a break from the normal daily routine. Why not organise a cake sale, raffle or dress down Friday. You could also ask your company to match the money you raise.
Take up a team challenge
This is a great chance for you to take up that challenge you’ve always wanted to do, with the support of your colleagues and Sparks.
Why not take part in a 5km run, a cycle challenge, or push yourself to the limit with a triathlon or even a marathon. If you’d like to take up a challenge, build team spirit and support Sparks get in touch and we can discuss how.
Getting your company involved
There are lots of exciting ways that you can get your company involved with Sparks – if your company has a volunteering scheme then why not ask if you can volunteer for us? Or perhaps your company would consider a longer term secondment during which you’ll get experience of working for a charity and we can benefit from your expertise.
If your charity has a Charity of the Year scheme, nominate Sparks and encourage your colleagues to do the same! Or you could recommend us for a grant from your company’s trust or foundation. Get in touch and we’ll provide you with some tips on how to get your company involved.
Payroll Giving
Payroll giving is a simple and tax-effective way of supporting us, allowing you to make a regular donation directly from your salary. The money is deducted before your income tax is taken so we could receive an extra 40% on each donation.
