This year’s Glenlivet Office Putting Challenge took place on 15th May 2003 and like last year was a huge success raising £25,000 for SPARKS. The challenge combines business and pleasure with over 250 blue-chip companies designing five-hole putting courses around their offices, taking in obstacles such as desks, waste paper baskets and filing cabinets along the way.
The winner of the Glenlivet Office Putting Challenge 2003 was Alan Peacock from the Royal Bank of Scotland. The lucky winner won a fabulous trip for two to Poggio dei Medici in Tuscany which is the home to the Italian Ladies open. He was joined at the final by celebrity couple Gabby and Kenny Logan who turned up to show off their putting techniques at the Waterfront, Hammersmith.
The game can be played with clients or colleagues in your very own office, and you don’t have to be an expert golfer to take part. In fact, hundreds of this year’s competitors had never picked up a putter or stepped on a green before. D.J.
