Children dress up as what they want to be when they grow up

On Friday, 19th April, the pupils at Hempsted C of E Primary School, in Gloucester raised money by dressing up to the theme of ‘what I want to be when I grow up’.

Hempstead C of E schoolThis lovely group of children raised £88 and had a fantastic day dressed up as anything from inventors and train drivers to authors and zoo keepers.

All funds raised from the school will go towards investing in our ground-breaking paediatric medical research which works to help the one in 30 babies who are born with a medical condition that may affect them for life.

Laura Crouch, Sparks Regional Fundraiser, says, “Not all children are born healthy and many don’t get to grow up at all. That is why the children chose this theme. It has been lovely to see their dreams for the future and thanks to the medical research that Sparks funds, hopefully this will become a reality for all of them.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to the school, who have chosen us as their charity of the year along with the Donkey Sanctuary. The money they have raised will help us as we bring hope to more babies, children and mums-to-be.
