Zillah Bingley has stood down as CEO of Sparks. Robert Booker, previously Executive Vice President of HR at BG Group, has been appointed interim CEO. Robert was previously a trustee at Sparks, has supported personally for many years and has a huge passion for the cause. Robert said:
“It’s an honour to takeover from Zillah as interim CEO of Sparks and I would like to thank her for all of her hard work over the last two years. We wish her well.
“2016 is an exciting year for the charity as it celebrates its 25th anniversary as an independent charity. From new and exciting events to our largest ever London marathon team and some fantastic research projects taking place, I’m really optimistic about the future of Sparks. If I can play a small part in making a difference for a charity I care passionately about then I’m delighted to do so.
“We need all Sparks supporters to really come together in this big year for the charity. If you’re able to do something extra for this special cause in this special year then please do get in touch.”
