Coventry City Football Club have invited Sparks to bucket collect in memory of our founder, Jimmy Hill, this Saturday at their annual Legends Day.
Legends Day, which takes place at the game against Bury on 13th February, will be the focus of the club’s tributes to their former manager and chairman. Stars from the club will be among 40 former players taking part on the day.
A spokesperson from Coventry City said: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming charity collectors from two causes which were close to Jimmy’s heart. Sparks raises money to fund pioneering children’s medical research and is a charity which Jimmy co-founded, while Alzheimer’s Research raises money for research into the illness which affected Jimmy in his later years.’
It’s a great honour to be part of Legends Day and to work with Coventry City to commemorate a great man. Jimmy made a huge impact on us and the club so it seems an incredibly fitting tribute to him. We had a fantastic response to our call for volunteers and have no doubt that an amazing amount will be raised for children’s medical research.
