Now in its 25th year, the Garmin Kingston Run Challenge takes over the centre of Kingston and the Thames towpath once again this October. With 3 distances on offer and a 24 mile running relay option you can choose to either hit your own personal running goals or have fun running as a team. This year, Sparks are proud to be the OFFICIAL CHARITY for this event, so can offer amazing entry rates and plenty of places.
Something for everyone with three distances on offer! Whether you are preparing for an autumn marathon or just looking for a running event with a difference, there is something at the Garmin Kingston Run Challenge for you. A flat, scenic route that takes in the banks of the River Thames, Hampton Court Palace, the centre of Kingston itself and some of the most famous sights in the Royal Borough.
Train while you Race at the Garmin Kingston Run Challenge
The Challenge isn’t just a great race in its own right; it is also the perfect event if you are training for a marathon, a half-marathon, a long-distance triathlon, an Ironman, an ultramarathon or any of the endurance events on the Human Race calendar! The 8 mile event is a perfect primer for a half-marathon (or even as an over-distance training run for anyone looking to do a fast 10k) while the 16 and 24 mile versions are both great confidence boosters for those taking on an Autumn or Spring marathon. With the nutrition stations on course and chip-timing, they are the perfect way to make one of your longer runs easy to organise while simulating race conditions.
Join Team Sparks and you will have unlimited training and fundraising support from our dedicated challenge events team. We’ve run, cycled and swum through many events ourselves and we’ll be with you every step of the way. We’ll send you a fundraising pack full of useful tips and ideas, a training guide and we’ll also organise a run so you can meet us and other runners in Team Sparks. So you look and feel good on the day, we’ll give you a Sparks running vest and make sure our cheering squads urge you on around the course.
