On Saturday 8th August, Fennies Under 5s Nursery in Beckenham held a Summer Fun Day to raise money for Sparks to help fund pioneering children’s medical research.
The day included a bake sale, tombolas, raffles, face painting, a bouncy castle and lots more fun games. There was also a BBQ to keep energy levels high! A special highlight was the guest appearance from Peppa Pig and Olaf and Elsa. The day had a fantastic turnout with not only parents and children from the nursery attending but also local families turned up to support the cause and enjoy the fun.
Sasha, who works at Sparks and recently climbed Mount Toubkal for the charity, attended the Fennies day to talk about what the charity does and why it’s so important to fund medical research and managed to recruit some new support.
In total, Fennies Nurseries, which consists of 8 branches, are hoping to raise at least £6000 for Sparks. They also kindly sponsored Sasha’s Mount Toubkal climb.
