On Wednesday 16th March, 55 Sparks supporters attended our annual Fine Wine Dinner held in the sumptuous surroundings of private members club, Brooks’s, on St James’ Street.
Guests enjoyed a four-course meal with a selection of fine wines to accompany each course. All the wine was presented by specialists so the guests could learn about what they were tasting.
Sparks supporter Amanda Walburn-Green gave a touching speech about her daughter Georgia who was born with an undiagnosed rare condition. An auction, with prizes including cases of wine, holidays and works of art, sparked a bidding frenzy and helped boost the total raised on the night to an incredible £30,000!
We’d like to thank everyone who attended on the night for helping to make it such a success. We’d also like to thank the Fine Wine Dinner committee (Gavin Prentice, Magnus Petersson, David Potts and Julian Wilkinson) who have gone above and beyond in their quest to help us raise funds to support pioneering children’s medical research through this event.
