Helen & Sunil with Harrison on their wedding day

Give in celebration

Do you have a special occasion coming up?

Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, christening, anniversary or birthday, asking your friends or family to make a donation to Sparks instead of bringing a present means you are making a lasting difference to children’s health.

Cel giving 1 Helen & Sunil with HarrisonNewlyweds Helen and Sunil asked for donations to Sparks instead of gifts.

“We decided not to have a wedding list.  We are lucky enough to have a wonderful life together with our little boy, with everything we could really ask for.  We are so delighted with how much we managed to raise through our wedding and the fact we know it is going towards such important work. It means so much more than just getting ‘stuff’”.

Christenings and Welcome to the World Parties

Cel giving 2Harvey after the treatmentHarvey’s parents chose a ‘Welcome to the World’ party as the perfect way to celebrate after his birth took an unexpected turn. Harvey was at risk of brain damage due to a possible lack of oxygen to the brain.

Mum Rebecca explains:  “It was a very scary time for us. Sparks has been instrumental in developing the cooling treatment which Harvey received to make him a healthy baby. Harvey’s ‘Welcome to the World’ party was a great opportunity for us to ask family and friends for donations and say thank you to Sparks. Together, we can help them develop similar treatments for other babies in the future.”
