If you have ever wanted to try abseiling here is your chance.  We are looking for adventurous individuals to make a daring abseil down the North Sea cliffs and help raise money for SPARKS. Absolutely no experience is required as this exciting event will be fully-supervised and full training is given.

Good Exercise – Great Countryside – Good Company – Great Cause

Ben Rinnes, Banff, Grampian, Saturday 10th July 2004

SPARKS is hosting its annual walkover this summer in the outstanding peaks of Ben Rinnes.

This magnificent setting offers the perfect backdrop for a leisurely walk of 6 miles or a more demanding walk of 9 miles. The routes will take walkers up to and around the summit of the peak and is ideal for amateur and experienced walkers alike!

The day starts at the Edinville Village Hall, which is situated on Speyside just 2 miles south of Aberlour, where a welcoming light snack to set all walkers off will be available.  Registration will be between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

Buses will be provided from Aberdeen, Elgin and Inverness (subject to demand) so come along and join in the fun and spectacular views and help raise money for this worthy charity which will help give children the healthy chance to join in activities like this in years to come.

To confirm your place a deposit of £10 is required and we request that a minimum of £40 in sponsorship is raised per walker (Family rates are available).

The Bannaleroch Course is set in rolling parkland with fantasic views over the beautiful valley of Strathmore. It is a challenge to good golfers, yet forgiving to those less-qualified. Stocked with many attractive trees and over 12,000 of younger varieties the course gives the impression of being much more mature than it really is.

The cost is £225 per team of 3, with a celebrity to make up the four. Your day will include soup and sandwiches on arrival, green fees, refreshments on-course and a prize-giving buffet.
