It is with great sadness that we note the death of Sparks’ Trustee, Dr Simon Newell, in a sudden accident this week. Dr Newell, a highly regarded clinician who worked in the neonatal team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, had been involved with the charity for many years but most recently by joining the Board of Trustees. Dr Newell will be missed by his fellow Trustees and the staff team at Sparks.
