On Sunday 2nd August, 37 Sparks supporters joined over 25,000 RideLondon 2015 cyclists to take part in one of the UK’s biggest mass participation cycling events and complete the gruelling 100 miles around London and Surrey.
Amongst our cyclists was rugby legend Colin Charvis, Olympic rower Tim Foster and our very Director of Events, Dave Barker. Also with the group was Shaun Wilson who wanted to cycle for Sparks to raise money for children’s medical research after his daughter suffered oxygen deprivation at birth and was subsequently diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Sparks Challenge events manager, Matt Buck said “It was a lovely sunny day which definitely added to the carnival atmosphere out on the course and was something both cyclists and supporters were grateful for after last year’s washout! Overall, the day was fantastic for all involved. We’re already looking forward to making RideLondon 2016 even better then this year!”
Thank you so much to everyone who took part and raised money for Sparks. It is hugely appreciated. You can see all our RideLondon 2015 photos on our Flickr account.
