The Sparks Winter Ball, was held last night (Thursday 4th December) and saw over 700 supporters descend on Old Billingsgate for a wonderful night of fun and fundraising.
The evening was hosted by Gabby Logan and Adrian Chiles with a performance from singer and Strictly Come Dancing star, Simon Webbe and band Payback who got everyone on the dance floor. Magician and comedian, Pete Firman, put on an hilarious show which was hugely enjoyed by all guests. Sparks Ambassador, Zoe North, 17, gave a speech about her being born prematurely and having cerebral palsy has affected her life which received a standing ovation. Auctioneer Charlie Ross whizzed back and forth across the dance floor, revving everyone up in a bidding frenzy for some incredible prizes including holidays and private box tickets for the O2.
The evening was an overwhelming success, raising over £330,000. We’d like to thank everyone who contributed to this, those who gave up their time to help on the night and all the individuals and organisations who donated prizes for the auctions. We couldn’t have done it without you! The money raised will help us continue funding vital children’s medical research.
